HSA services are based in the proprietary decontamination effectiveness evaluation process (or DEEP™) developed by researchers formerly with Los Alamos National Laboratory. DEEP™ research, testing, and training services make use of more than 30, safe, fluorescent simulated contaminants applied in the form of powder, liquid, mist, viscous, or fog. The research and training staff, with more than 40 years of experience in HAZMAT operations at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, provide expert interpretation of research and test data as well as evaluation of procedure effectiveness and personnel proficiency. HSA works frequently with Universities including Oklahoma State University and the Southwest Center for Public Health Preparedness at the University of Oklahoma. It has provided DEEP™ Research services to US Military joint programs in the development of chemical, biological and explosive protective ensembles as well as assistance with procurement down-selection. WMD Civil Support Teams, law enforcement, and fire departments are regular users of the DEEP™ Training services. DEEP™ Testing services are applied to PPE as well as equipment and vehicle decontamination. HSA uses its mobile laboratory and exposure chamber to bring our services to the customer when travel to Santa Fe is precluded by the customer’s ability to travel. To learn more about our Hazmat Science Applications Division, click here. |
